THE WIN Funded Enhancing Kenya Water Integrity Partnerships (EKWIP) Programme
Project Overview
The EKWIP program seeks to develop lasting water integrity partnerships. The program is specifically aimed at curing corruption in the water and sanitation sub sectors, promote gender and social inclusion through working with youth and womenÂ
and to improve service delivery in rural areas and among vulnerable groups.
Vision of the EKWIP Programme
Water and sanitation integrity contributes to the realization of SDG6 in Kenya.
Goal of the EKWIP Programme
Enhanced integrity of individuals, organizations and institutions leads to improved service delivery and management of water and sanitation especially for marginalized groups.
Project Highlights
In 2015, KWAHO participated in two main initiatives by the Water Integrity Network:Â
- Learning and exchange forum with Uganda Water and Sanitation NetworkÂ
- MOU with Makueni County and Interactions with community groups in Makueni county on IMTÂ
- Additionally, KWAHO has continued to be ambassadors of the IMT, facilitating ToT sessions but also integrating it into her programming, especially in programmes that target small water supply schemes
