Water security, climate change, and nutrition program, Nandi, Tinderet
Project Overview
In 2025, KWAHO, in partnership with Mbogo valley Water resources user’s association (WRUA)., to develop biodiversity corners in 10 schools, reaching 3,040 students, further to that, the program also supported the establishment of kitchen gardens and promoting water access for school going children through rainwater harvesting initiatives. The program is implemented in Tinderet, Nandi county.Â
The program was a build up to previous interventions towards climate change and education improvement, the successes defined the 2025 interventions, building on the previous successes to scale impact programs
Technical Implementation
The targeted schools were – Kibugat primary school, Mbogo vale primary school, Chepkechir primary school, Kimatkei primary school, Kaplelach primary school, Mutumon secondary school, Koiyet primary school, St Peters soba secondary school, Soba river primary school and Kaptebengwo primary school, reaching a total population of 3,040 students from the 10 schools.
