WASH SSI

Strengthening WASH governance and Sustainable water supply services in Kenya (SSI)
is a 3 year (2023-2025) strategic partnership between KWAHO-PACIDA-LOKADO and
WHH.

Funded by BMZ, The WASH SSI project’s overall objective is to promote Water
access and WASH governance, through systems strengthening for persons, local
institutions, ministries, and other stakeholders in Kajiado, Marsabit and Turkana
Counties. The blended water access-governance and sanitation program will seek to

  • Strengthen available county coordinating mechanisms and enhancing institutions’

capacity to perform their mandate and to align their initiatives to available
legislations and guidelines from the national government.

  •  Create an enabling environment through advocating for increased finances

towards WASH and WRM services and enacting of policies and guidelines.

  • Develop infrastructure to increase communities’ access to water and sanitation

services.

  •  Enhance Partnership, Learning and Adaptation through creation and supporting of

knowledge sharing platforms, dialogue forums and technical working groups.
